The Desert Tortoise Council aims to benefit desert tortoises and their habitats, offering information and services to the public, and addressing relevant conservation issues in alignment with its goals and objectives.
The Desert Tortoise Council's Regular Grants Program supports activities and research contributing to the biology, conservation, and management of desert tortoises and their habitats. It also funds the development and dissemination of educational material about desert tortoises and supports other imperiled tortoises, turtles, and their ecosystems. Grants are awarded based on the availability of funds and at the discretion of the Desert Tortoise Council's Board.
